WE MUST PRAY
Posted in Community 1 CommentWhat a great privilege we have to pray. Prayer allows us to examine our heart, and yield ourselves to God unreservedly. We must pray in times of adversity, unless we become faithless and unbelieving.
We are to pray in times of prosperity, unless we become boastful and proud. We are to pray in times of danger, unless we become fearful and doubting. We need to pray in times of security, unless we become self-sufficient. No matter when or why we are led to pray; pray, believing, with this promise of our Savior in mind, “What things you desire, when you pray, believe that you will receive them, and you shall have them” (Mark 11:24). And the exhortation from James 5:16 “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”
